SUMMARY:Seussical The Musical TYA
DESCRIPTION:Now one of the most performed shows in America\, Seussical TYA is a fantastical\, magical\, musical extravaganza! Tony-winners\, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff\, My Favorite Year\, Once on This Island\, Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters\, including Horton the Elephant\, The Cat in the Hat\, Gertrude McFuzz\, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. \nThe Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton\, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos\, including Jojo\, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers\, but he must guard an abandoned egg\, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule\, danger\, kidnapping and a trial\, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately\, the powers of friendship\, loyalty\, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. \nSeussical TYA is fun for the whole family! \nPERFORMANCE DATES: \nSunday\, August 6       10AM \nSunday\, August 6        2PM \nSaturday\, August 19    11AM \nSunday\, August 20       10AM \n  \nPRODUCTION PHOTOS \nPhoto Credit: Jackie St. Louis

SUMMARY:The Sound of Music
DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets\n \nThe final collaboration between Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II\, The Sound of Music\, has become a play beloved around the world. Based on the true story of the Von Trapp Family Singers\, this play captures a personal tale of growth and hope amidst the horrors of World War II. The Sound of Music tells the tale of young postulant Maria Rainer\, whose free spirit has trouble fitting into the rules and regulations of Nonnberg Abbey. Commissioned by the Mother Abbess to serve as the governess for seven motherless children\, Maria transforms the Von Trapp family home from a place of dour rules and regulations to one filled with joy\, with laughter\, and with music. In the process\, Maria wins the hearts of all seven children–and their widower father\, Captain Von Trapp. With the Mother Abbess’ blessing\, and to the children’s delight\, Maria follows her heart\, and Maria and the Captain marry. Upon returning home from their honeymoon\, Maria and the Captain learn that their beloved Austria has been taken over by the Nazis\, and the retired Captain is asked to report for immediate service in the Nazi Navy. When the Nazis show up at their door to take Captain Von Trapp away\, it is a family singing engagement (wily navigated by their friend Max) that buys the family time to make their narrow escape. Their Austrian convictions compel Maria\, the Captain\, and the children to flee over the mountains of Switzerland to safety\, taking the words of the Mother Abbess to heart: “Climb Every Mountain… till you find your dream.” \nTickets\n\nBecome a Season Subscriber\n \nMeet the Cast & Crew\n\nView Playbill\n\nCreative Team \nDIRECTOR: Jordan Hue \nMUSICAL DIRECTOR: Matthew W. DESCRIPTION:A Chorus Line examines one day in the lives of seventeen dancers\, all vying for a spot in the “chorus line” of a Broadway musical. After the first round of cuts\, Zach\, the director and choreographer\, asks each dancer to speak about themselves. Discomfort opens into revelation\, confession leads to redemption\, and within the bright\, outwardly homogenous chorus\, the audience begins to see each dancer’s individuality. From Cassie\, the star who just needs the “music and the mirror and the chance to dance\,” to Val\, a small-town girl with a brand-new big-town body\, to Mike\, who took his sister’s place in dance class\, saying “I can do that.” Based on real Broadway dancers’ stories\, as told to fellow dancer and choreographer Michael Bennett\, A Chorus Line is funny\, heartbreaking\, and refreshingly honest. \n\n\n\n \n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Tickets \n \n \n \n \n Cast & Creative \n \n \n \n \n Production Photos \n \n \n \n \n News & Reviews \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Select a performance date below: \nSaturday\, January 28     8PM  -  Michael Mandato as Zach \nSunday\, January 29    2PM  -  Kevin Burns as Zach \nWednesday\, February 1    2PM  -  Michael Mandato as Zach \nFriday. SUMMARY:Matilda\, The Musical
DESCRIPTION:ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL\nBook by                     Music & Lyrics by\nDENNIS KELLY          TIM MINCHIN \nBased on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book of the same name\, Matilda follows Matilda Wormwood\, a bright little girl who immerses herself in books. Matilda is discarded and belittled by her dimwitted parents—her father insists on calling her a boy and harps on her “stupidity” for preferring reading to watching the telly—and her hostile headmistress\, the outrageous and wicked Miss Trunchbull. Reclusive\, but with an ever-growing imagination and sharp mind\, and with a caring protector in her teacher Miss Honey\, Matilda dreams of a better life\, daring to take a stand against unjust forces and to grasp her destiny in her own\, tiny hands. \nROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL\nis presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
